FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: to sustain pseudo-isothermal conditions heat exchangers immersed in catalyst are used, fluid coolant running through said heat exchangers. Coolant flow rate is kept within certain limits to provide lower heat transfer factor in the heat exchanger that of the catalyst layer. Pseudo-isothermal chemical reactor filled with catalyst layer and heat exchangers immersed therein is equipped with temperature control system to control temperature in the reaction zone between the heat exchangers situated in catalyst layer. Said system comprises sensor continuously measuring temperature difference ▵T between central reaction zone and zone close to the heat exchangers, control unit connected with said sensor, and flow regulator connected with said control unit to control fluid coolant flow rate through the heat exchangers.
EFFECT: improved reaction efficiency and its higher conversion yield.
