FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines. Proposed engine comprises cylindrical crankcase, crankshaft with round webs, at least one pair of con rods, cylinder head with spark plug or injection nozzle, intake channel with intake valve and discharge channel with discharge valve. Con rods are directly connected to crankshaft rod journal, or one of every pair of con rods, called a link rod, is hinged to the other main con rod connected to rod journal. The number of heads, spark plugs or ignition nozzles equals that of con rod pairs. Aforesaid heads are arranged inside crankcase in symmetry about its inner generating line and between crankshaft webs. One rocker is articulated to each con rod of aforesaid pair, in its turn articulated with appropriate head to make spark plug or injection nozzle arranged between hinges. Width of every con rod and rocker and head length equal the distance between crankshaft webs. Intake channel with intake valve and discharge channel with discharge valve are arranged in crankshaft main journal and adjoining web so that intake channel with intake valve is located on LH side and discharge channel with discharge valve is located on RH side with rod journal located vertically downward relative to crankshaft rotational axis.
EFFECT: simplified design of valve gear.
