FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to X-ray engineering, and specifically to X-ray tubes for industrial and medical use. The X-ray tube has a vacuum flask with a cathode and an anode inside it. The cathode emitter and anode are made from heat-resistant material with a monocrystalline structure, where the electron emitting surface of the cathode emitter is combined with the loosely packed crystallographic plane of the monocrystal, and the working surface of the anode - with the close-packed plane.
EFFECT: increased stability of output characteristics of the tube and longer service life of the cathode and anode.
