FIELD: physics; communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to decoding a noise-immune code. The method of decoding a noise-immune code involves input of binary and non-binary information characters together with redundant code characters into a decoder from a communication channel, conversion of the redundant code characters to syndrome register characters, estimation of values of decoded characters based on defined syndrome cells which are determined by a selected code, comparison of the calculation result with a calculated threshold and deciding on the need for changing decoded character information from the comparison results. The method is characterised by that, syndrome characters reach the threshold element at the same number of cycles of its operation before the moment of deciding on the value of the decoded character that, the number of syndrome characters, as the number of syndrome characters at the inputs of the threshold element. The decision taken on the need for changing the information character is made based on pipeline computations, for which decisions are simultaneously made at different stages with respect to the entire group of decoded characters.

EFFECT: increased rate of operation of decoder to a level determined by the maximum possible rate of shifting data in shift registers.
