FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is provided for grinding, cutting and finishing of high-precision parts from soft spalling-resistant ceramics and can be used in instrument making, electronics and jeweller's art. It is implemented mechanical treatment of working part and tail, when it is implemented knurling of relief profile. Then it is implemented carbonic nitriding at temperature 850-910°C during 2-4 hours in mixture, containing of activated charcarbon, carbamide and trilon-B at ratio 2:1:1. Then it is implemented tempering and abrasive-jet treatment of surface, after which it is implemented aging with simultaneous low-temperature carbonic nitriding during 4-6 hours and with cooling on air.
EFFECT: there are increased servicing characteristics of manufactured tool ensured by wear resistance increasing, hardness and uniformity of diffusion layers on cutting and shaping edges at achievement of high strength of the basis.
