FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention refers to method of determining life time of steel vertical liquid storing reservoirs in petroleum industry and can be used in storehouses of petroleum, oil, and lubricants in operating conditions. Prediction method of life time of walls of steel vertical reservoirs at low-cycle loading consists in the fact that deformation of wall of steel vertical reservoir is measured by means of laser theodolite at various loading-unloading cycles, which are performed by filling and draining the liquid the level of which is measured with level metre, relative coefficient of internal material friction is determined and life time of wall of steel vertical reservoirs is predicted as per the above values.

EFFECT: improving prediction accuracy of life time of walls of steel vertical reservoirs during operation.
