FIELD: physics; control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electro-driven systems. In a device, which has at least one carrier substrate fitted with a multilayer structure which provides for migration of active particles, the multilayer structure lies between two electrodes which are connected to top and bottom current leads respectively. The method is characterised by that, besides the applied constant first energy potential P1, P1', a time-varying second energy potential P2, P2' is also applied to the current leads, where the first and second energy potentials are meant for switching between two states E1 and E2 of the electro-driven device with different optical/energy transmission or reflection properties.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of power supply.
