METHOD OF COMPLEX EVALUATION OF ARTERIAL RIGIDITY APPLYING FUNCTIONAL TESTS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B5/02 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to functional diagnostics of internal diseases, can be applied in cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, endocrinology, geriatrics for thorough diagnostics of cardiovascular risk. For this purpose arterial rigidity is evaluated my method of non-invasive arteriography. Examination is carried out three times: initial - at rest; then after test with physical loading (PL)-test with 3-minute walking; and three minutes after medication test with nitroglycerin (NTG) - intake of 0.5 mg sublingually. Interval between tests constitutes not less than 20 minutes. Change of arterial rigidity indices after tests is evaluated in per cent ratio to initial value by formula: ΔARPW (%)=(ARPW_test - ARPW_rest)×100% / ARPW_rest. After that evaluation of obtained results is performed.

EFFECT: increase of accuracy, reliability and objectivity of traditional arteriographic examination, more accurate and objective evaluation of cardiovascular risk degree for each particular patient, can be applied as routine examination in clinical practice.
