FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: cardiovascular parameters are evaluated, including: aortal pulse wave velocity (PWV, m/s), aortal central pressure (ACP, mm Hg), pulse pressure (PP, mm Hg), medium pressure (MP, mm Hg) and an augmentation index (AI, %). The derived results are assessed according to centile tables and in relation to the arteriography median. If at least one of PWV, ACP, PP and MP is more than the 90th percentile, whereas the augmentation index is less than the 10th percentile, pathology is stated. If each of the values PWV, ACP, PP and MP falls within the range from the median to the 90th percentile with the AI ranging from the median to the 10th percentile, the child is referred to a haemodynamically compromising risk group.

EFFECT: method enables detecting the onset of the pathological process and making the objective pre-clinical assessment of the child's endothelial function and haemodynamic parameters.
