FIELD: electronic engineering; traveling-wave tubes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed traveling-wave tube has electron gun, cooling system, set of fragments of combined components of periodic magnetic focusing structure and regular microwave part of slow-wave structure with drift tubes separated by gaps. Tube has magnets and pole shoes in each fragment; fragments also includes three periods of regular microwave part of slow-down structure of the "opposing pins" type. Slow-wave structure cells have pins and slots; centers of cross-sectional areas of magnet and gap between drift tubes in all fragments are aligned during first half-cycle of periodic magnetic focusing structure. During second half-cycle of periodic magnetic focusing structure centers of cross-sectional areas of magnet and drift tube between two other gaps are aligned.
EFFECT: enhanced output power of tube in high-frequency band.
