FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns ophthalmology and can be used in plastic ophthalmosurgery for elimination of full-thickness edge defects of superior eyelid. At first internal lining of a complex musculocutaneous flap. Therefor, the skin is incised along an inferior-free edge of eyelid throughout the eliminated defect with forming subcutaneous-tissue pocket. In formed pocket, a mucosal autograft with its epithelial face inside is laid. After engraftment, the laid complex mucocutaneous flap is mobilised with its skin part cut out while its base taken from an eyebrow and separating the engrafted autograft from the internal fasciomuscular layer of eyelid. The mobilised complex mucocutaneous flap is moved downwards to an intact ciliary edge of eyelid with anchoring to the mobilised regions of the remained conjunctiva. Application of local tissues which do not have a subcutaneous fat layer eliminates thickening of eyelid within building of defect.
EFFECT: ensured optimal functional result owing to the one-stage replacements of all anatomic layers of eyelid, stabilisation of lachrymal film and elimination of lagophthalmos.
