FIELD: technological processes, filters.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to filters for melt materials. Ceramic foam filter is proposed for melt aluminium alloys, which contains core rich in aluminium oxide and shell of borosilicate glass, chemical composition of which includes the following components: 20-70 wt % Al2O3, 20-60 wt % SiO2, 0-25 wt % of oxides of the second group elements and 2-20 wt % B2O3. Core is made preferably from aluminium silicate.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create filter with high thermal and corrosion resistance, improved efficiency in manufacturing and ecological compatibility in use.
