FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a continuous method for gas-phase polymerisation of monomers such as α-olefins, in the presence of a polymerisation catalyst, and particularly to a method of regulating fluidity of polymer particles flowing inside a gas-phase polymerisation reactor. A stream of liquid with mass flow per unit surface area of the reactor exceeding 30 kg/h m2 is continuously fed into the polymerisation reactor in which density of solid substance measured in kg of polymer per m3 of the reactor occupied by the polymer exceeds 80% of "bulk density" of the polymer. The liquid is fed at minimum pressure near the wall of the reactor. The liquid used is part of fresh polymerised monomers in condensed form and/or liquid obtained after cooling and condensing a stream of gas taken for recycling from the polymerisation reactor.
EFFECT: regulation of fluidity of polymer particles in a downward current of the reactor column prevents formation of polymer lumps and clogging and provides stable operation of industrial polymerisation equipment.
