FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing an ethylene polymer. This method involves the formation of an ethylene polymer in the form of particles in installation for gas-phase polymerization by copolymerization of ethylene and one C4-C12 1-alkenes at temperature of 20 to 200 °C, and pressure of 0.5 to 10 MPa in a reaction gas containing propane as a polymerization diluent and in the presence of a pre-activated polymerization catalyst. Gas-phase polymerization plant comprises at least one gas-phase polymerization reactor. Purified propane feed stream containing 99 to 99.98 mol.% of propane and 0.01 to 100 mcmol/mol of propylene is fed into a gas-phase polymerization unit. Cleaning is carried out by passing a stream of hydrocarbons through a hydrocarbon purification unit, which reduce at least the concentration of propylene, acetylene, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxygen and water contained in the hydrocarbon stream.
EFFECT: development of a method of producing an ethylene polymer, which provides stable modes of preliminary activation of the catalyst and minimizes the harmful effect of polar and non-polar impurities on the output of the product and selectivity of the reactor, as well as on properties of obtained polymer; production of ethylene polymers with a constant structure and composition in polymerization reactors for guaranteed production of ethylene polymers with a given final combination of polymer properties.
