FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: two serially coupled planetary gearboxes, i.e. range and main gearboxes form proposed gearbox. Range gearbox consists of two three-link planetary mechanisms, one for reverse gear range and another for lower gear range, one locking coupling and two brakes. Kinematic characteristics of planetary mechanism are related by dependence K1=1+K2. Main gearbox is formed by two planetary mechanisms with kinematic characteristics K3 and K4, two brakes and one locking coupling. Kinematic characteristics of range and main gearboxes are related by K1≅((1+K3)/K3)3 and K4≅((1+K3)/K3)2-1. Ranges of planetary composite gearbox are divided according to geometrical progression with denominator
EFFECT: increased traction and improved acceleration.
