FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for testing a flow metre onsite in a pipe under operational conditions. The testing device consists of N standard mass flow metres 2,3 (4,5) based on Coriolis effect, where N is not less than two. During testing using inlet (17,6) and returning (21, 10) pipes, there is successive flow of substance, flowing through pipe 52, through the tested flow metre 65 and through all N flow metres 2,3 (4,5), which are pre-calibrated together on the pipe, providing successive flow of substance through all flow metres. The inlet and return pipes together with a shutoff valve (55, 57) are connected to the pipe on two places, lying up- and downstream of the substance relative the tested flow metre (65). When the respective shutoff valve is closed and the said sequence of flow of substance is provided, measurement results are obtained from each flow metre and flow measured by the tested flow metre is compared with flow obtained by processing measurement results of the N mass flow metres.

EFFECT: invention increases accuracy of testing.
