FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods of water treatment, namely to method for water disinfection by means of oligodynamic treatment in sorption filter with poorly soluble silver salt deposited into sorbent, and may be used for disinfection of drinking water. In order to realise the method, treated water is filtered through composite material, which consists of silver-containing cation-exchange resin and activated carbon, taken in the ratio of 1:1. Previously, ion-exchange saturation of carboxyl cation-exchange resin is carried out in composite material by means of serial transmission of silver nitrate solution, flushing with water, passing of sodium chloride solution and further flushing of water. Produced silver chloride is evenly deposited with simultaneous transfer of functional groups of cation-exchange resin into working sodium form. Content of silver ions in composite material does not exceed equivalent content of salt anions.

EFFECT: method eliminates ingress of excessive bactericides - silver ions - into drinking water, besides method is simple technologically and efficient.
