FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to midget power plants and can be used in development of higher-power generators. Proposed windmill comprises rotary blades fitted between rigid circular disks, elements to couple circular disks with hubs of power converter arranged to revolve around central tower lengthwise axis and circular pontoon-rotor. Lower circular disk is coupled with circular pontoon via hollow columns that feature elongated profile in horizontal cross section. Maximum chord of horizontal section in every column is deflected at 0.5° to 20° from tangent to column motion trajectory located at the center of horizontal section of said column. Note here that rear point of the maximum chord is located inside aforesaid column motion trajectory. Note also that maximum chord of maximum section in every column is directed towards the horizontal section center of the next column with circular pontoon-rotor revolving. Profile of hollow columns in horizontal section features a smooth narrowing to wards profile maximum chord rear point. Aforesaid hollow columns are inclined forward at 0.5° to 20° to circular pontoon rotational direction.

EFFECT: higher efficiency due to reduced hydrodynamic losses.
