FIELD: measuring technology.

SUBSTANCE: tested sampled of mineral oil is placed in a fire-resistant reaction vessel; the declared grade of mineral oil is specified to a computer; a metal particle of fixed dimension is heated to a certain temperature; thereafter the computer generates a control signal whereon the heated particle falls on the surface of mineral oil and ignites it. The ignition delay time shows whether mineral oil satisfies the grade declared grade with evaluating the output impurity content.

EFFECT: acceleration and simplification of the method in eliminating determination ambiguity.
