FIELD: analytical procedures in oil fuel industry. SUBSTANCE: material to be analyzed is placed on temperature detector, for example, by way of momentarily immersing temperature detector into test material. Thereafter temperature detector is heated to full evaporation of material, and dependence of detector temperature on evaporation time is recorded, from which dependence fractional makeup of test material is judged of. Analytical device contains reaction vessel for receiving material to be analyzed, heating element, temperature detector (e.g., in the form of incandescent filament), control unit, computer with its input connected to temperature detector output and its output connected to indicator entry. Heating means may be made as controllable current stabilizer connected to temperature detector input or to heating element input, heating element being located in immediate proximity to surface of temperature detector. Reaction vessel and temperature detector are disposed in device casing for mutual displacement relative to each other actuated by means of e.g. electric drive.
