FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines. The method for intensifying the main combustion period is carried out in a diesel engine that has high-pressure fuel lines and nozzles as part of the fuel equipment. The method consists in heating the fuel injected into the combustion chambers to a temperature corresponding to the end of its boiling point. Heating is carried out in a heat exchanger installed on the high-pressure fuel lines at the inlet to the injector. Diesel exhaust gases pass through the heat exchanger. The heating temperature of the fuel, equal to the temperature of the end of its boiling, is initially determined by fractional distillation of the fuel used using an apparatus for distilling oil products. On a diesel engine, the heating temperature is maintained by changing the amount of exhaust gases that have passed through the heat exchanger by means of a control valve using an electronic control system.
EFFECT: ensuring complete evaporation in the combustion chambers of the diesel engine and excluding the ignition delay period.
