FIELD: physics; navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to satellite navigation and can be used for position finding. The method of providing global positioning system users with continuity data includes several space vehicles, for example satellites, which send data to a position finding device, where the data include first data from the global positioning system on signal error accuracy in space for a faulty space vehicle and second data on whether the global positioning system evaluates the space vehicle as faulty. Unlike existing methods of providing continuity data in a global positioning system such as Galileo, where it is assumed that errors can always be detected, the present invention makes assumption on degree of accuracy with which an error can be detected.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of a global positioning system, which improves quality of services.
