FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is a composite armoured tank having fibre-optic matrices made from optically transparent fibre gathered into a bundle on opposite bottoms of the tank and optically connected to a light pulse receiver and generator on opposite bottoms of the tank, a control unit and a power supply connected to the light pulse receiver and generator. In each fibre matrix, one row of optically transparent fibres lies equidistant along the tank and the other row of optically transparent fibres lies equidistant on single-turn lines. The tank has inner and outer armoured layers made from aramid fibre and has fibre matrices made from optically transparent fibres placed betweeen the said layers and separated by a foam plastic interlayer. The control unit can determine coordinates of the point from which a striker takes off when it penetrates the walls of the tank and is connected to a guiding device which is connected to equipment acting on the point from which the striker takes off.
EFFECT: increased effectiveness of protective properties of the structure when transporting and storing dangerous loads.
