FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used for quality control of composite armoured protection. Disclosed is a device for thermal quality control of composite armoured protection basing on analysis of the striking element energy absorption, which comprises a firing device, a device positioned between the substrate and the firing device at the striking element trajectory to measure the striking element velocity when leaving the firing device, a substrate made from a plastic material. Device is additionally equipped with a thermal imaging system, a computer system and a device to record the striking element flight start. Thermal imaging system is arranged so, that its optical part field of view covers the point of contact of the striking element and the composite armour protection. Input of the device to record the striking element flight start is connected to the output of the device to measure the striking element velocity when leaving the firing device. Output of the device to record the striking element flight start is connected to the input of the thermal imaging system and the output of the thermal imaging system is connected to the input of the computer system.
EFFECT: technical result is the increase of information value and reliability of the test results.
