FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: rocket engine body is equipped with a source of supply, an electronic computing machine, an optical reflectometer, and also a generator and a light pulse receiver connected to each other by several fibre optic matrices. Fibre optic matrices are introduced directly into the structure of the rocket engine body. Some ends of optical fibres in the fibre optic matrix are assembled on the bottom of the rocket engine body and are optically connected with the light pulse generator, and other ones are assembled on the opposite bottom of the rocket engine body and are optically connected with a receiver of light pulses.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to detect disturbances of rocket engine body integrity, and also to record variation of its surface temperature and exposure to ionising radiation.
