FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organometallic synthesis, and specifically to a method of producing a novel optically active π-complex of zirconium with general formula , involving reaction of a dichloride π-complex of zirconium with methyllithium, with molar ratio π-complex:MeLi=1:2, in an argon atmosphere at temperature -78°C, in diethyl ether with subsequent increase of temperature to room temperature. The method is distinguished by that, the dichloride π-complex of zirconium used is cyclopentadienyl-1-neomenthyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindenylzirconium dichloride and the reaction is carried out for 12 hours.
EFFECT: said method can be used as a component of a catalyst system in processes of stereoselective poly- and oligomerisation of unsaturated compounds, and in fine organic and organometallic synthesis.
