FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: straight run oil fraction which boils above 310°C is subjected to catalytic hydrocracking and then catalytic isodewaxing combined with dehydrogenation, with layered charge of isodewaxing catalyst (top layer) and dehydrogenation catalyst (bottom layer), taken in ratio 5-12:1. Catalytic hydrocracking is carried out at temperature 340-420°C, pressure of 15-30 MPa, with volume rate of supplying material of 0.5-1.0 h-1 and ratio of hydrogen-containing gas to material of 500-1500:1 nm3/m3. Catalytic dewaxing, combined with dehydrogenation is carried out at temperature 220-300°C, hydrogen pressure 2.5-4.5 MPa, volume rate of feeding material through the dehydrogenation catalyst layer of 5-12 h-1, ratio of hydrogen-containing gas to the material equal to 500-1500:1 nm3/m3.
EFFECT: method increases output of the base for transformer oil while preserving quality characteristics and improving electrical insulating properties of the transformer oil.
