FIELD: heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to cryogenic equipment. Regenerative heat exchanger includes housing filled with helium. Housing is divided into identical sections with partitions made in the form of grids and filled with monodisperse spherical granules made from cold-accumulating material, diametre di of which is equal in each section of heat exchanger and determined from the condition:
where i - section No.; d0 - optimum value of granule diametre at filling all the sections of heat exchanger housing with granules of one and the same size; - average heat carrier density value along the length of i section; - average heat carrier density value along the length of the whole heat exchanger. In sections located in the direction from cold edge of heat exchanger to warm one, granules diametre di is increased in stages and chosen from the condition: .
EFFECT: invention allows increasing efficiency factor of regenerative heat exchanger of lower stage of cryogenic gas machine by increasing surface of granules participating in heat exchange at maintaining hydraulic resistance of heat exchanger unchanged.
