FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: molten glass flows out of a glass-melting furnace to a production glass collection place through a discharge channel (1). In front of the production glass collection place there is a drainage device (20) for bottom glass. The inner lining (5a) in at least an area of the drainage device (20) consists of cast electroconductive mineral material from a group of AZS and ZAC compounds. In the inner lining (5a) there is drainage opening (23) for bottom glass and above the drainage opening (23) there is a drainage gap (21) passing across the discharge direction. On opposite sides of the drainage channel (1) and the drainage device (20) for bottom glass there is are at least two electrodes (22) which are made in form of rods and whose end faces (22a) enter the inner lining (5a) in the direction of molten glass (3). The larger part of the passing current is directed through molten glass (3) and that way reaches the electrode plate (24) lying below the drainage opening (23).
EFFECT: non-contact of electrodes with molten glass with retention of effect on its temperature profile inside the cross section of the stream of molten glass.
