FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biological engineering and specifically to methods for ion exchange extraction of lysine from culture fluid obtained using a microbiological method. Proposed is a method of extracting lysine from a culture fluid involving acidification of lysine-containing culture fluid with sulphuric acid to pH 1.5-1.9, taking culture fluid in cooled form to an ion-exchange column with KU-2-8 cation in ammonium form and desorbing the end product with a 4.5% solution of NH4OH.
EFFECT: invention increases selectivity of the lysine sorption process, simplifies the process and avoids washing off several times.
