FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to devices for control and diagnostics of industrial equipment, mainly used upon operation of gas-main pipelines. Method for diagnostics of lock valves includes external action on element of lock valves subject to diagnostics with frequency range exceeding value of man-made noise and value of object free oscillation frequency related to sizes and value of frequencies related to body mass. Measurement of free oscillation of the whole unit, subject to diagnostics, and its components is performed with subsequent frequency analysis. Estimation of difference spectrum and allotment of most characteristic frequencies are performed for all components of unit subject to diagnostics with subsequent conclusion on displacement of unit components with respect to each other.
EFFECT: improvement of diagnostics accuracy.
