FIELD: explosives.
SUBSTANCE: method for purification of ethylene from admixtures of acetylene by means of hydrogenation with molecular hydrogen in gas phase in presence of catalyst, containing gold applied onto gamma-oxide of aluminium, which differs by the fact that particles of metal gold have average size of 2.5-3.5 nm, and catalyst additionally contains superdispersed particles of nickel, besides total content of gold in catalyst makes 0.02-0.25 wt %, with ratio of gold/nickel from 0.1 to 10, and process is carried out at the temperature of 50-125°C.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of precious metal in catalyst and increased activity in process of stable operation and absence of measured losses of ethylene during hydrogenation.
