FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, supply of process fluid to the furnace is stopped. High-pressure steam is injected through a tubular coil and a main line. The high-pressure steam is injected from a second source through a second line to a closed-purge system collector or to a delayed-coking drum. The outlet channel communicating via fluid with the second line from the main line is isolated. The high-pressure steam input is stopped. Steam from the main line is removed through the outlet channel by opening at least two closed valves between the outlet channel and the main line. The inlet line of the drums is isolated from a portion of the main line by injecting the high-pressure steam. The tubular coil is disconnected from the main line and the first high-pressure steam source. The tubular coil is connected with a scraper cleaning unit after reaching atmospheric pressure in the main line. Water from a water source is introduced into the scraper cleaning unit to drive the scraper through the tubular coil.
EFFECT: safe cleaning of the inner surface of pipes.
