FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of instrument testing and may be used to manufacture powerful oscillating tubes. Assigned task is solved by the fact that in method for performance of accelerated testing of durability of powerful oscillating tetrodes with tungsten thoriated-carbide cathode, two or more grid electrodes, including forced mode of cathode operation, as anode voltage is connected to control grid electrode at low current takeoff, anode voltage is sent to screening grid electrode, providing for required level of current takeoff from cathode to screen grid, at the same time specified level of power released on it is maintained by means of shift voltage regulation on control grid. Application of proposed method for performance of accelerated tests of power oscillating tetrodes makes it possible, in process of operation, to load not only tungsten thoriated-carbide cathode, but also grid electrodes of instrument, which helps to obtain maximum information on properties of operating units in process of accelerated tests performance.
EFFECT: development of method for performance of accelerated tests of powerful oscillating tubes, which assesses condition of not only tungsten thoriated-carbide cathode, but is also able to assess properties of grid electrodes of powerful oscillating tubes.
