SUBSTANCE: in accordance with one aspect, the invention proposes a scheduling information method in a communication system when changing a service cell. To achieve the result, when a service call changes for user equipment (UE), it is established whether the new service cell belongs to the previous service radio link set (RLS) with an enhanced data channel (EDCH). User equipment then sends scheduling information (SI) to the first protocol data unit (PDU) of the MAC-e sublayer for controlling access to medium transmitted to the uplink after completion of service cell change only if it has been established that, the new service cell does not belong to the previous service RLS EDCH. In other words, user equipment transmits scheduling information during service cell change only if the base station (unit B) has also changed.

EFFECT: improved maintenance of mobility of communication devices in a large geographical area when moving from area to area with retention of the capacity to receive service and communicate with other users.
