FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: mirror without a copper layer contains: a glass substrate, a silver layer, an outer paint coat which covers the silver coating layer. The paint coat is a layer of epoxy paint. The mirror has the following properties: scratch resistance determined by the Clemen test which shows scratches of less than 10 mcm when applying a weight of 1500 g; hardness determined by the Persoz pendulum of at least 250 s; commercially acceptable resistance to at least three adhesives selected from the group consisting of oxime-based adhesive, alkoxy adhesive, MS polymer-based adhesive and rubber-based adhesive.
EFFECT: increased scratch resistance when processing mirrors, hardness, increased ageing and corrosion resistance of mirrors and simplification of the method of making mirrors.
