METHOD TO MANUFACTURE SUBSTRATE PROTECTED AGAINST CORROSION AND HAVING MIRROR SHINE Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC C23C22/34 

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: substrate is prepared, and at least one metal composite protective layer is applied with thickness within 20 nm - 1 mcm, containing the first metal or the first alloy, and in it at least one oxide, double oxide, oxide hydrate or oxyhalogenide of the second metal selected from the group, including zirconium, titanium and hafnium, mainly evenly distributed. Production of the protective layer is carried out by application of a metal layer onto the cleaned substrate from the first metal or the first alloy of metals by condensation from a steam phase, sputtering with the help of an electronic-beam evaporator, sputtering with the help of a resistive evaporator, induction evaporation, arc evaporation and/or cathode sputtering, in each case under high vacuum, and its treatment in a water system containing at least one oxide, double oxide, oxide hydrate or oxyhalogenide of the second metal, and introduction of at least one acid, one oxide, double oxide, oxide hydrate, oxyhalogenide and/or salt of the second metal into the layer.

EFFECT: preservation of especially high corrosion resistance of substrates even under action of mechanical load.
