FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 1-alkoxy- or 1-cycloalkoxy-1,2-dihydro[60]fullerenes of general formula (1), where R= i-Pr, Bu, t-Bu, cyclo-Hex, Dec, which can be used as complexing agents, sorbents, biologically active compounds, as well as during production of materials with given properties. The method involves reacting fullerene C60 with alcohols in the presence of a zirconocene dichloride catalyst in molar ratio C60: ROH: Cp2ZrCl2 equal to 0.01:(10-20):(0.0015-0.0025), in a toluene medium as a solvent at room temperature (approximately 20°C) for 20-28 hours.
EFFECT: possibility of selective production of desired products with high output.
