FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to high-voltage equipment, in particular to equipment for electric insulation in vacuum, and may be used in high-voltage electric vacuum devices for improvement of their characteristics. Method for treatment of electrodes in insulating gaps of high-voltage electric vacuum devices consists in the fact that working surfaces of electrodes in insulating gaps are melted by pulse wide-aperture electronic beam with further application of metal coating onto electrodes from metal with low emission activity and repeated melting of electrodes working surface by pulse wide-aperture electronic beam, besides depth of melt surface layer must exceed thickness of coating, and method of treatment is carried out in single vacuum cycle.
EFFECT: improved electric strength of insulation in vacuum, achieved even in application of the main material of electrode, not providing for high electric insulating characteristics of vacuum gaps.
