FIELD: magnetic cleaning of process fluids from solid and colloidal particles and admixtures. SUBSTANCE: magnetic separator has mounting frame, reservoir with supply and discharge branch pipes, cross-piece equipped with drive and secured on mounting frame by means of linear anti-friction bearing. Cylindrical magnetic cartridges have vertical longitudinal axis; they are mounted by their head portion in through holes of plates at spaced relation; said plate rests against upper part of cross-piece. Plate is provided with supports for periodic rigid fixation of position relative to conveyer. In upper position, plate is additionally engageable with U-shaped beam rigidly fastened with frame. Sludge remover includes drive conveyer for transportation of sludge and sludge removing members embracing each magnetic cartridge by lower edge at slide fit; they are rigidly fastened with cross-piece. Magnetic cartridges are arranged in two rows in staggered order. Magnetic cartridges are made in form of set of permanent magnets placed in non-magnetic sleeve.
