FIELD: cleaning lubricating and cooling fluids, cleansing solution and other technological fluids from solid and colloid particles and admixtures; metal working plants including plastic metal working and machining at rolling mills and grinding machines. SUBSTANCE: proposed magnetic separator has reservoir with supply and discharge branch pipes for receiving the fluid to be treated, mounting frame, cylindrical magnetic cartridges in form of stack of cylindrical disk magnets having vertical longitudinal axis; their are mounted by their head part on cross-piece in at least two rows; magnetic separator is also provided with slime removal unit. Separator is provided with second cross-piece located below first one and equipped with drive and locking unit for periodic rigid interconnection of cross-pieces. Both cross-pieces are secured on mounting frame for linear vertical reciprocation. Magnetic cartridge are mounted by their head parts for radial displacement and are oriented in transversal direction relative to flow of technological fluid in reservoir and are shifted in rows in the same direction. Slime removal unit is provided with drive conveyer for transportation of lime and slime removal members made from elastic material; slime removal members embrace each magnetic cartridge by their lower edge; they are slide fit and are secured with second cross-piece. First and second cross-pieces of magnetic separator are mounted on frame by means of common linear anti-friction bearing. Each magnetic cartridge of separator is received by its head part by through holes of cross-piece and is locked in vertical plane by means of threaded joint. Rows of magnetic cartridges are arranged in staggered order. Magnetic cartridges are made in form of stacks of permanent magnets made in form of disks separated by gaskets made from magnetically soft material and placed in non-magnetic sleeves. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cleaning at simultaneous of productivity; facilitated procedure; reduced overall dimensions. 6 cl, 6 dwg
