FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device (1) serves to impregnate polymer melt (2) by fluid medium (7). Fluid medium can make either foaming agent or additive. Impregnation by foaming agent is made, for example, for producing foamed shaped parts with the help of injection moulding unit. Impregnation body (10) comprises melt channel (50) and set (70) of channels to feed fluid medium. Used fluid medium is separated from melt flow(2') by gas-impermeable material (5') representing, in particular, sintered power metal. Impregnation body comprises several melt channels produced by, for example, removal of material from gas-impermeable material part. Every melt channel has open porosity between inlet and outlet (50a, 50b) on its inner surface to allow impregnation. Melt channels are intercommunicated to form parallel connection. Melt channels can incorporate fixed mixers (6) to facilitate distribution of diffusing fluid medium in melt flow. Fluid medium represents physical foaming agent, for example, gas or gas mix.
