FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: moist charge is supplied to pelletiser by two flows, then scull is formed on bottom of pelletiser. A zone occupied with pellets and zone free of them are formed at the bottom of the pelletiser. Nucleation is carried out by forming dense layer of moist charge in the zone free of pellets and by dividing this layer by means of dividers; scull if cleaned from the dense layer of moist charge; nuclei are finally pelletised with charge of the second flow. Also the dense layer of charge is formed with rotating drums, the first of which is arranged with a gap 5-30 mm to surface of scull. The first flow of charge is oriented to the above said gap; notably, the gap between scull and each successive drum is set less, than the preceding gap.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of pelletiser.
