FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: at the pelletiser bottom there formed is slag lining; wet charge is supplied to pelletiser in two flows, and the first of them is added to compressed air flow so that gas-moisture-charge jet is formed. At the pelletiser bottom there formed is the zone occupied with charge and zone free from charge. Nucleation with charge sputtering by means of gas-moisture-charge jet oriented to slag lining is performed in charge-free zone so that dense layer of wet charge is obtained with its longitudinal and transverse fission. Slag lining is cleaned from nuclei, pelletised with charge of the second flow till pellets are obtained. Longitudinal and transverse fission is made simultaneously with rotating drum made in the form of hollow flattened cone with conicity of 1:2-1:5. Smaller bottom of the drum is oriented in the direction of poppet axis, and larger bottom is directed towards its flanges. At that, transverse fission is performed with ribs installed on the drum surface, and as longitudinal separators there used are turns of metal string with diameter of 0.1-0.5 mm, which is wound on the cutting edge of the drum ribs in the form of spiral with pitch between turns equal to 5-10 mm.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing efficiency of pelletiser and strength of pellets.
