FIELD: iron and steel industry; production of pellets and agglomerate.
SUBSTANCE: humid charge is fed into pelletizer in two streams; the first stream is inserted into a flow of compressed gas with creating a gas-humid charge current. Then a scull is formed in kind of a dense bed of humid charge which is sprayed on the bottom of the pelletizer. The dense bed of charge is split with a divider and cut off the bottom of the pelletizer thus forming nuclei in kind of humid charge briquettes. Then nuclei are finally pelletized with the second stream charge into pellets. There are made two zones on the bottom of the pelletizer: one is loaded with pellets, and one is free of them. At that dividers are installed in the pellet-free zone of the pelletizer; the dividers are made of laminar plate knives assembled with a gap against the bottom of the pelletizer.
EFFECT: raised efficiency of a pelletizer.
