METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF UNFAVOURABLE OUTCOME OF CHRONIC CARDIAC INSUFFICIENCY Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B8/00 A61B8/06

Abstract RU 2385670 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, namely cardiology, and can be used to predict the unfavourable outcome in the patients suffering from chronic cardiac insufficiency. Said unfavourable outcome of chronic cardiac insufficiency is predicted by ultrasound data, such as growth of right lobe of liver more than 160 mm; expansion of hepatic veins more than 7 mm and of portal vein more than 11 mm; variation of quantitative video densitometre parametres, namely a prevailing grey scale step more than 23 degrees, dispersion more than 50%; increasing total peripheral resistance index in proper hepatic artery more than 0.69; response on food load characterised by a blood flow gain in portal vein more than 115% and spleen-portal index less than 30%.

EFFECT: method allows predicting the unfavourable outcome in the patients suffering from chronic cardiac insufficiency that make it possible to ensure reverse or stabilisation of a pathological hepatic process in cardiac insufficiency with well-timed preventive or therapeutic measures.
