SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, and namely to surgery. Estimation of liver functional condition by Dopplerography of portal vein is carried out. Defining diametre of portal vein, speed of linear blood flow and volumetric blood flow, each increase on 0.1 cm of portal vein diametre within the range from normal to 1.4 cm is estimated in 1 point, more than 1.4 cm - in 3 points, each increase of linear blood flow on 4 cm/sec, within the range from normal to 33 cm/sec is estimated in 1 point, and more than 33 cm/sec - in 3 points, and each increase of volumetric blood flow on 300 ml/min in range form normal to 2000 ml/min is estimated in 1 point, and over 2000 ml/min and in case of its decrease in cases of functioning portacaval shunts and registration of fact of blood regurgitation near portae in 3 points. If sum of points is under 3, severity degree is estimated as light, is sum of points is 4-6 - as medium, and if sum of points is 7-9 - as severe.

EFFECT: method allows to realise planning of surgical interventions volume, as well as predict outcomes of acute diseases of abdominal organs.
