FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: intraocular lens (IOL) comprises optical and reference elements. A back surface of the optical element represents a segment of a concave spherical surface, and a front surface of the optical element is curvilinear surfaces bent towards the back surface of the optical element with the continuous curvature having one central optical axis. A central surface of the front surface is a segment of a concave hyperbolic surface, and the relation of its diametre to the diametre of the optical element is within 0.2 to 0.3. The second piece of the front surface is a segment of a concave parabolic surface, and the relation of its diametre to the diametre of the optical element is in the range 0.3 to 0.5. The peripheral piece of the front surface of the optical element represents a segment of a third-order concave surface formed by rotation about the central optical axis of the curve matched with Chebyshev polynomial, and the relation of the diametre of this surface to the diametre of the optical element is in the range 0.3 to 0.4.
EFFECT: application of said IOL enables to improve acuity of daylight and night vision to an intact-eye level.
