FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to ophthalmology, namely to plastic ophthalmology and aims at surgical treatment of blepharoptosis. A dynamometre is sutured to a distal part of mobilised levator. A muscle is tightened with tension of 20 g with tension measured in millimetres. Regarding the muscle tension, levator is resected for certain length. If the tension is 9 mm and less, levator is resected for 7-10 mm; the tension 10-15 mm enables resection for 15-18 mm; while the tension 16 mm and more ensure to resect for 23 mm and more.
EFFECT: method provides adequate functional and cosmetic effect in patients with blepharoptosis in operations under general anaesthesia when there is no contact of the patient to the surgeon.
