FIELD: chemistry; biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bioengineering and specifically to genetic engineering. Proposed are synthetic oligonucleotide primers which are complementary to conservative parts of genes which code the Varicella-Zoster (VZV) protein, and specifically to the UL-36 part of the gene. The invention enables detection of Varicella-Zoster DNA through such oligonucleotide primers with high degree of specificity in clinical samples.
EFFECT: obtaining novel synthetic oligonucleotide primers which can be used in scientific research for studying infections caused by the virus DNA.
